We help groups, individuals and communities to learn, plan and communicate with each other through Public Participation processes and Community Research.  We design and facilitate community meetings for brainstorming, planning, strategizing, & creating a vision for their future.

Community Participation

Public Participation:

To engage community members in discussions and activities that increase public involvement in community decision making,  we provide:

Design and facilitation of meetings and events for organizations and communities.

Citizen participation training and technical support to communities and their leaders.  We help communities examine and strengthen the ways they involve the public in their planning and decision-making.

Design, advice and guidance for programs and processes that help groups communicate.  We help groups who want to strengthen their internal communication and groups who want to gather information from other communities.

Community Mobilizing Programs- A collection of Programs to involve your community in building its future.  Though most in this collection are for rural/small towns, the concepts may apply to communities of any size.

Review the Public Participation Handbook includes three parts:  an overview of public participation methods and techniques, a tour of what methods Washington communities use, a collection of organizations, printed and electronic resources where you can learn more. It was created with support from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to assist Community Development Block Grant Communities in Washington State.  Portions of it are available on the web.  Printed versions are designed for 3-ring binders and are available for $10.
