Commitment to a cause and Dedication to service are central to community-based action. Northwest Nonprofit Resources (NNR) was formed in 1993 to bring awareness among nonprofit and community-based leaders about the issues and trends facing their organizations and the knowledge, skills and practices leaders need to address those issues.

Our Mission

to promote and facilitate learning and action to strengthen community life.  NNR serves as a vehicle through which community-based leaders and nonprofit organizations can strengthen their knowledge, skills, professionalism and confidence as they serve their communities.

With the help of Northwest nonprofit leaders NNR concentrates its work in the following areas:

bulletAccess to information, resources and services essential to community action and effective management
bulletCommunication links among community-based leaders and resources to support them
bulletEmpowering the voice of nonprofits and public involvement through education, advocacy on issues important to the health of nonprofit organizations and community life.
bulletCost savings and access to quality services.
bulletEducation about issues facing nonprofit organizations and the composition, contributions, and needs of this important branch of community life.
bulletFacilitation and Community Participation Services to promote open discussion and decision making.
